About Carolyn
Carolyn Dennis founded Powerful Grace: Life by Design to provide success strategies and
resources for individuals seeking more in their personal or professional life. Her personal mission is
to empower and inspire people to live life more abundantly. She is the author of Praying the Word:
Seeking God's Heart, an anointed collection of prayers.
A native of North Carolina, Carolyn is married and they have a son named Daniel. Her family background
includes a trial lawyer for a Dad and a homemaker for a Mom. She is a product of her parents and loves
to work with individuals, advocate, teach and coach from any where around the world. As an Author,
Teacher, Speaker and Life Coach Carolyn has been given the opportunity to take care of her family and
serve others through her writing, teaching, coaching and speaking.
EDUCATION
A graduate of Meredith College, Carolyn received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology/Religion. Her Master's of Criminal Justice was earned at New Mexico State University and she has an earned Ph.D. from Capella University in Human Services (which is just a fancy way of saying "helping people to excel based on their own personal gifts and talents").
CAREER
With a diversity of experience, Carolyn's background includes over 20 years of experience working with clients. Counseling and coaching began at the onset of her career as a Child Support Social Worker. Next, Carolyn began working as a Probation/Parole Officer with individuals involved in the Court System. This position enabled Carolyn to work with predominately indigent clients and to assist them with blueprinting methods of locating a job and overall success for them. After graduate school, Carolyn was invited to be the Director of Development of a major medical center in North Carolina. She was commissioned with the task of raising funds from benefactors and coordinating fund-raising events. Later, Carolyn returned to her true-passion of teaching and coaching. Over the last 14 years, Carolyn has taught at several colleges and universities online and in the traditional setting. Carolyn brings to Coaching a wealth of experience and knowledge.
SPIRITUAL
Carolyn is a Christian dedicated to the Lord Jesus Christ. A true prayer warrior, she yields to Him in all areas of her life. Her mission is to empower you to live the abundant life that Jesus came for you to have. Carolyn has been involved in prayer ministry, taught numerous Bible Studies and has served as the Spiritual Life Vice President of the Wiesbaden Protestant Women of the Chapel.
COACHING
Carolyn's coaching practice includes writers, authors, professors, teachers, librarians, stay-at-home Moms and small business owners. She brings to coaching a passion for partnering with you to obtain the life that you desire to live. As a Christian, Carolyn reflects God's Word through her coaching style. She also incorporates prayer into the coaching sessions. Utilizing Biblical principles, you and Carolyn will lay out a blueprint to help you achieve the goals that you desire.
FAMILY
Carolyn is married to Michael and they have a son, Daniel. He is the light of our life and a product of
prayer answered by the Lord. Daniel is 21 months and he has been with us since March, 2007. He was 9
months old when the adoption was final. His birth nation is Kyrgyzstan which is in Asia. Daniel loves
cars and trucks, his hobby horse, and dancing. He is a generally happy boy and loves his life.
This is our Daniel, age 20 months; Christmas 2007. This is the first Christmas that Daniel celebrated ˜
may he have many more.
